Cancellations

Due to the speed at which orders are processed changes and cancellations to your order are not always possible. If you request an order change, Daffy will do everything possible to accommodate the request.

The shopping cart system is bank automated. This secures customer information and therefore payments are processed immediately upon submission of the order.

If you cancel your order after your credit card has been authorized (if an order number was given, your credit card has been authorized), it will be subject to a 10% Cancellation Fee. No exceptions.

If your order has been shipped, it cannot be cancelled. No exceptions.

If your order needs to be cancelled, but contains perishable items that have already been produced, Daffy cannot refund the product cost of the perishable items.  The refund amount will consist of the shipping and handling cost and non-perishable item cost minus the 10% Cancellation Fee. No exceptions.

Daffy Apples are temperature, as well as humidity, sensitive. Daffy does not recommend that apples ship to a location where exterior temperature are above 85ºF or below 32ºF.  If an order is placed online with a ship to location where exterior temperatures are above 85ºF or below 32ºF, and Daffy must cancel your order due to the hot or cold exterior temperature, it is subject to a 10% Cancellation Fee. No exceptions.

Daffy will consider all weather conditions before producing and shipping an order of Caramel Apples to a location where exterior temperatures are above 85ºF or below 32ºF or other severe weather conditions exist or are predicted.  We may decide to cancel an order based on severe temperatures or other severe weather conditions. Customers will be contacted at least 2 business days prior to the scheduled ship date of the order and may, at Daffy Apple's sole discretion, be given the option of signing a weather-related waiver waiving Daffy's responsibility in the case that the order is affected by severe temperatures or severe weather conditions.

The 10% Cancellation Fee is calculated based on the total order amount, including all products, shipping, and handling. For example, if the total order amount is $200.00, the 10% Cancellation Fee will equal $20. In this example, this means the refund amount for the cancelled order will be $180.00, the total order amount, $200.00, minus $20.00 for the 10% Cancellation Fee.

Daffy reserves the right to decline orders, refuse partial or full delivery, terminate accounts, and/or cancel orders at our sole discretion and with notification. If we suspect any fraudulent activity on your account, we will notify you that the processing of your order may be delayed and/or cancelled if necessary.

Product Information Acknowledgement

By placing an order with Daffy Apple, the customer acknowledges and agrees that they have read and understood all product descriptions provided. For any specific shelf life information, customers are responsible for Contacting Us prior to purchase. Our caramel, taffy, and caramel apple products are perishable with a standard shelf life clearly communicated upon inquiry. It is the customer’s responsibility to verify that the product's shelf life aligns with their needs and intended use. Daffy Apple is not liable for any misconceptions or misunderstandings regarding the product’s shelf life and usage after the purchase has been made.

Shelf Life and Usage Expectation for Perishable Products

Our caramel products are shipped with a typical shelf life of 150 days from the date of manufacture. Please ensure this meets your needs before ordering.

For orders required by a specific date or intended for immediate use, customers should communicate this at the time of purchase. Daffy Apple will accommodate these orders based on our product availability and shelf life standards.

Reductions

If you need to reduce your order, it is subject to a $5.00 Reduction Fee. If you reduce your order again after the first reduction is completed and the refund amount processed, another $5.00 Reduction Fee will apply. No exceptions.

All order changes must be made at least 3 business days prior to the scheduled order ship date. No exceptions.

Orders that have already been produced cannot be reduced. No exceptions.  

The $5.00 Reduction Fee will apply when an individual item is taken off an order as well as when the quantity of an item is reduced. The $5.00 Reduction Fee will be deducted from the refund amount. No exceptions.

Returns - all returns require pre-authorization

Perishable items, which include all food items, cannot be returned. Once shipped, perishable goods are not eligible for a refund due to product expiration concerns. Any quality issues with perishable items must be reported within 24 hours of delivery, accompanied by digital photos emailed to us for review. Daffy will review these photos and issue an appropriate refund. Photos are required for a refund. 

DO NOT ship food items back to Daffy. No exceptions.

For non-perishable items to be eligible for a return, they must be unopened, unused, and in resalable condition. Shipping and handling costs will not be included in the refund amount. Returns must be pre-approved by a Daffy representative, and the item must be shipped back with the approval. No refund will be issued if the return was not pre-approved.

Non-perishable returns should be sent to Daffy with a copy of the receipt, a current phone number, the reason for the return, and the Return Authorization Number provided upon pre-authorization.

A 10% Return Fee will be applied to all returns based on the total price of the returned non-perishable product(s). Refunds will be processed only after the returned items have been received and inspected.

Daffy does not accept COD shipments and is not liable for returned packages that are damaged, lost, or stolen in transit.

Only returns of non-perishable items within 15 days of the original receipt of the product will be accepted. No exceptions.

Processing

There is no guarantee that your order will arrive on time if your order is placed less than 8 business days in advance of the date needed. If your order needs to arrive in less than 8 business days, you must contact Daffy before placing your order, as expedited shipping may be required. Exception: Petite Caramel Apple orders must be placed in accordance with the Caramel Apple Ordering Deadlines & Information.

If your order must be cancelled because it will not arrive in time, the 10% Cancellation Fee will be charged. No exceptions.

Daffy orders are received and processed during business hours only. Business hours are 8:00am - 4:30pm (MT) Monday-Friday. Orders placed outside of business hours will be processed the next business day. 

For example, orders placed on Saturday and Sunday will not be processed until Monday. Daffy does not process orders on holidays.

Order processing and production time does not include the 2-6 business day transit time.

Shipping

Daffy orders are shipped via FedEx Ground and USPS Priority Mail*. If there are circumstances beyond Daffy’s control that cause your order to arrive late, your order will not be reshipped beyond normal FedEx Ground Service or USPS Priority Mail at Daffy's expense. These circumstances include, but are not limited to, orders lost due to website malfunction, carrier company errors, or bad weather.

If your order is damaged during shipping, arrives late, and/or is missed due to carrier fault, Daffy will attempt to resolve the issue on your behalf, which may include refunding all payment collected for your product and shipping costs.

*Caramel Apple orders of 20+ cases may be shipped via a freight carrier and very small orders (cellophane bag or stick only orders) may be shipped via USPS.

FedEx Ground has a guaranteed delivery schedule of 1-6 business days, depending on the zone, from Denver, CO. The packages may arrive earlier than scheduled per FedEx’s discretion and shipping volume.  Please review the map on the Shipping Information page for a list of zones and timelines. The stated 1-6 business day delivery time does NOT include the amount of time needed to process and produce the order. Please review the most updated version of FedEx's Ground shipping terms and conditions on their website for further info.

If a claim is made for damage to a package, the original packaging materials must be made available to FedEx or its designee for inspection.

FedEx shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from providing service to, or on behalf of, a person or entity that obtains such services, including the delivery of property, by trick, false pretense, or other fraudulent scheme.

FedEx Ground shipments are generally delivered anytime between the hours of 9:00am and 8:00pm, Monday through Saturday, to residences, and by close of business for commercial addresses. FedEx cannot schedule a specific delivery time within that window. Up to three delivery attempts will be made, excluding weekends and holidays. Daffy recommends using a work or business address if you will not be home during the day.

Daffy does not require a signature for deliveries. Shipments that do not require a signature can be left in a safe place at the driver's discretion. This could include the front porch, side door, back porch, or garage area. The FedEx driver will not leave the package, regardless of customer instructions, if they feel the package may be stolen or damaged due to weather. If you would like to note special delivery instructions, you are welcome to do so in the "Order Note" or "Item Note" field at checkout and Daffy will include these directions on your order, if able.

Any shipments that cannot be delivered due to severe weather and FedEx's inability to deliver packages due to weather or other Acts of God are not refundable. Daffy Apple Corp, at its discretion, may cancel orders if there is a high probability the shipment will not arrive in time or be damaged due to severe weather. It is the customer's ultimate responsibility to contact Daffy Apple to stop a shipment if the customer lives in an area where severe conditions may exist.

Refunds will NOT be issued for refused shipments. No exceptions.

Daffy will send an email to the email address listed on your account when your order has been shipped. If your order has been shipped via FedEx Ground, a tracking number will be provided. It is the customer's responsibility to monitor the status of the shipment and be ready to receive the product at time of delivery. Packages may arrive early so the customer must be sure to check the actual arrival date. Caramel apples are perishable and cannot be left outside in high heat or extreme cold. Tracking numbers are generally not available for items shipped via USPS Priority Mail or via a freight carrier. USPS Priority Mail packages are delivered within an average of 2-3 days. Delivery dates for freight shipments will be provided on an individual order basis by a Daffy representative.

When ordering for a specific event date, keep in mind that Daffy needs a minimum of 8 business days for processing and shipping. Exception: Caramel Apple orders must be placed in accordance with Caramel Apple Ordering Deadlines & Information.  Please select the correct event date while placing your order. Daffy is not responsible for processing and shipping an order too early, or too late because an incorrect event date was selected for your order.

Daffy cannot ship Caramel Apples to Florida, Arizona, Hawaii, or Alaska. If you are ordering other products from our website, please contact us by phone to place your order.  If your billing address is in one of these states, but your order will be delivered to a state that we can ship to, please contact us by phone to place your order. If you order is placed over the phone, Daffy will require a signed copy of your invoice be faxed or emailed back to assure you understand and agree to all terms and conditions as listed on this web page.

We are unable to ship any products outside of the United States, to P.O. boxes, to the Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, Guam, Military (A.P.O & F.P.O), or Canada.

If you would like to pick up your order at our factory, please contact us. All Will Call Orders must be placed 8 business days in advance, if a Will Call order is needed in less than 8 business days, Daffy must be contacted prior to placing your order.

Urgent orders are processed with the assumption that they will be used immediately upon receipt. Daffy Apple assumes no responsibility for the shelf life suitability for future seasons or events beyond the immediate need.
